What is a Restricted Token Unit (RTU) agreement?

A Restricted Token Unit (RTU) agreement grants a worker the right to receive tokens after specific vesting conditions, such as time or performance - are met. RTUs are similar to RSUs but are settled in tokens, and must be documented, valued at fair market value (FMV), and reported through payroll or tax filings to remain compliant.
