How do funded traders get paid through Toku?
Your firm approves your payout, and it arrives as stablecoins in your Toku balance, fast, once you’re verified. You can spend that balance anywhere with the Toku Visa card, hold it, or move it to your own wallet — no local bank account required. Toku handles your KYC, tax form, and compliance in the same flow.

How It Works
The four steps
Verify once, early
You complete KYC one time. Do it the day you get access, during your evaluation, not when you request your first payout. Verification on payout platforms typically takes one to three days, and leaving it until payout day is the single biggest cause of first-payout delays. Getting it done while you're still trading the challenge means your money isn't waiting on paperwork later.
Industry norm — 1–3 days to verify.
The tax form
US traders complete a W-9. Traders outside the US complete a W-8BEN, certifying foreign status. Toku collects and validates your form before your first payout.
Myth worth killing: stablecoin payouts are not invisible income. Your payout is reportable income in your country whether or not a form is issued — and for US traders, the 1099 reporting threshold is $2,000 for 2026 payments.
The payout
When your firm approves a payout, it arrives as stablecoins in your Toku balance, fast. Need specifics on exact timing or which stablecoin you'll receive? That depends on your firm's setup — ask your firm or Toku support.
Spend it or hold it
Your balance comes with a Visa card that spends at merchants worldwide — online and in person, no local bank account required. You can also hold the balance, or move it to your own wallet. Your money, your call. Toku is payout-to-spend — not a trading account, and not credit.
Troubleshooting
What can delay a payout
Almost every stalled payout comes down to one of these four things — and each has a simple fix.
Incomplete KYC
Verification isn't finished, so the payout can't be released.
Fix: Verify early (Step 1), during your evaluation.
An expired W-8BEN
W-8BEN forms expire; an out-of-date form holds the payout.
Fix: Toku prompts you before it matters — just respond when asked.
A country or sanctions restriction
Some corridors and individuals can't be served for licensing or screening reasons.
Fix: Check with your firm on supported locations.
A name mismatch
Your verified identity doesn't match the name your firm has on file.
Fix: Register with your legal name, exactly as on your ID.

KYC
Know Your Customer: the identity check a payout platform runs before releasing funds.
W-9
The US tax form certifying your taxpayer information. US traders complete it.
W-8BEN
The tax form non-US individuals use to certify foreign status. It expires and must be renewed.
Stablecoin
A digital token designed to hold a steady value (such as a US dollar), used here as the payout rail.
Corridor
A specific country-to-country payment route. Some corridors are supported; some are restricted.
Sanctions screening
A compliance check against restricted-party lists that runs before a payout is released.
Payout-to-spend
Receiving money you can spend directly (via card) rather than credit or a balance locked inside a platform.
Visa card
A card tied to your stablecoin balance that spends at merchants worldwide, with no local bank account required.

Questions
If you remember three things
Verify during your evaluation
Late KYC is the number-one cause of first-payout delays.
No bank needed
Payouts arrive as stablecoins you can spend with a Visa card, hold, or move to your own wallet.
Payouts are taxable
Income is reportable regardless of the rail; the US 1099 threshold is $2,000 for 2026.
