What we shipped in October for Token Grants

Your feedback shapes what we build. This month we shipped a set of updates to token grant payouts, each designed to save your team time and make Toku easier to use. Here's a look at those changes:

Payouts in three clear steps

Running a payout is now a guided three-step flow: approve the vestings that are due, review tax and fair market value, then finalize and pay. On the tax step, every fair market value is shown in USD and in the recipient's local currency, so you can see exactly what each person is receiving. You set your payout day and pricing rule (for example, prior-day close) once in Payout settings, and Toku uses them for every payout from then on. And as a safeguard, nothing is ever paid before its release date.

Tax prefills from profiles

You no longer need to enter tax details by hand on each payout. If a recipient has a tax profile, their tax method and withholding rate are filled in automatically on the Tax & FMV step. If you keep tax details in a spreadsheet, you can set tax from a file instead and apply it to the whole payout at once.

Every payout in one place

Payout history gives you a complete record of everything that's been paid. Look it up by recipient to see a person's full history, or by payment to see everyone included in a given payout. If a fair market value is updated after a payout has gone out, the change is recorded there too, so your history always reflects the latest numbers.

Find payments on chain

Sometimes a payout happens outside Toku, straight from a wallet. You can now find that transaction on its network and record it against the grant in a single click, so your payout history stays complete without any manual entry.

What we shipped in October

Your feedback shapes what we build. This month we shipped a few of your most-requested updates, each designed to save your team time and make Toku easier to use. Here's a look at some of those changes:

One Toku account for every product

If you use more than one Toku product, you no longer need a separate organization and login for each. Employment, Token Grants and Stablecoin Payroll now live under one organization with one shared record of your people. Switch between products from the side navigation, with People, Documents and Settings always in the same place. If you would like to enable this feature early, simply reach out to customer-success@toku.com to be among the first to have the unified product experience.

Merge your logins yourself

Ended up with two Toku accounts over the years? You can now combine them into a single login from the new Accounts page in your profile menu. You confirm you own the other account right there, without signing out. Nothing is deleted: both email addresses keep working, and your password and two-factor setup stay the same.

Connect the tools you already use

We rebuilt integrations on a new framework, so adding new ones is much faster. QuickBooks now syncs bills, payroll runs and expenses, and Expensify sits alongside the existing Kota benefits integration. More accounting and expense tools are on the way. Email support@toku.com and tell us which ones you'd use first.
